The project aims to make it easier for people with diabetes to carry essential equipment and encourage them to take their glucagon injection with them more often. The product is only used in life‐ threatening situations, so few people carry it with them every day, putting themselves at risk in a crisis moment.
The design of the bag is a convenience for people with diabetes who test their blood glucose levels with a blood glucose metre. Analysing the market for cases for diabetic devices, it is noticeable that very few brands offer elegant or more modern products, most of which still have a medical, childish, or outdated character.
The orange colour is intended to make it easier for others to quickly find the emergency kit in the event of a sick person losing consciousness.
The accessory kit consists of modular cases. The bag can be carried in different ways and, thanks to the separate case, the glucagon always remains easily accessible. The modules can be transferred to a larger pouch or clipped to a backpack with a buckle.
The easy detachability of the accessory is intended to encourage people to carry them with them regularly - whether they choose a smart handbag or a sports backpack. A case thrown loose in a backpack can be difficult to find during a stressful situation. However, if you decide to put it there, the orange colour will make it easier to find in the dark interior.
