For Formed, medical equipment manufacturer

The design of the modular furniture system is intended for the nursing station. The space is used for activities including paperwork, monitoring the condition of patients and admitting them to the ward. The proposed solution optimizes the nurses’ work space. It focuses on the organization of items, allowing maximum use of space. At the same time, all necessary items are within easy reach and sight. The workstation consists of modules and complementary elements, allowing to achieve the desired configurations. The structure is based on a metal frame, clad on the front with furniture board and complemented with tops.
During the initial design phase, observation in hospitals and interviews with medical
professionals were conducted.
An ergonomic analysis was developed based on anthropometric data and using a 1:1 scale functional model.
